Does thread count important?
Thread count only refers to how many threads are there in lengthways and thickness wise. They are woven into one square inch of fabric. With better-quality threads, such as those created with pure Egyptian cotton, as more can be woven into apiece square inch and which generates consecutively, a better, smoother and more flexible material. The maximum the thread count, the maximum the quality of the sheets. The thread count of basic or standard cotton is approximately 150 –high quality sheets begin at 180 thread count and a count of 200 and higher is measured percale.
